Statistics of rape in Bangladesh

Bangladesh Police: 

Last year, There are allegations of rape of 5,400 women and 615 children. In 2016, there were 728 cases of child rape and 3,900 cases of rape of women. According to police, 12 children and 26 women died as a result of rape last year. In 2016, this number was 21 women and 14 children.

Law and Arbitration Center (ASC): According to ASC's 2019 annual report, the number of rape cases has doubled across the country. Last year, 1,413 women and children were raped and gang-raped across the country. In 2016, the number was 632.

Foundation for the People: Last year, rapists raped 902 children last year. In 2016 this number was 356.

Bangladesh Child Rights Forum: According to a 2019 report, they raped an average of 64 children per month. Also, sexual abuse has increased by 60 percent in one year. Last year, They sexually abused 1,383 children. Compared to 2016, child rape increased by 1.1 percent last year.
