Underestimation of teachers with M, Ed degree
The need for training and better education to reinforce the professional skills of teachers is immense.
All countries attach importance to the upper education of teachers. In Bangladesh too, there's provision for paid leave for all officials of the republic, including teachers, for education.
In the case of universities, there are various facilities for education, including higher scales.
But teachers at the secondary level only get a better scale for B, Ed. Teachers for M, Ed, M, Phil, or the other degree don't get any higher scale or the other benefits. Note that the authorities don't give leave to most teachers to require B, Ed degree. As a result, the teachers shall get a certificate in B.Ed.
But the truth is that adequately taking a B.Ed degree is extremely important for teaching. within the developed world, it's compulsory to enter B, Ed teaching. Higher training, education, and research are essential to becoming a talented teacher. For this reason, all teachers at the secondary level should get paid leave to pursue B, Ed, and M, Ed, or the other education. Note: If the govt. evaluate M, Ed, at the secondary level in Bangladesh, many teachers would do M, Ed.
As a result, they might be more refined, dedicated, and efficient professionally which might help in ensuring quality education. Although there are not any facilities for M.Ed., many teachers and education administration officials do M.Ed. to enhance their education and education administration more holistically and professionally.
Another important point is that I, E, R to M, Ed Masters are of equal value. therein case, doing M, Ed. means doing a Masters of Education.
Note that I, E, R to M, Ed are often avoided B, Ed.
In that case, if you are doing M, Ed, you'll get the upper scale given for B, Ed for reasonable and just reasons.
But the teachers aren't doing I, E, R to M, Ed as there's no clear instruction therein regard. Another thing is that if you'll do masters in English, Bengali, politics without getting a baccalaureate, then it's very normal to try to do a master's in education without graduating in education.
So if the upper scale is out there by graduating in education i.e. B, Ed, why can't a better scale be obtained by doing a Masters in Education?
The government must consider teachers doing M.Ed from Dhaka University or the other recognized university.
University authorities should recommend M.Ed holders to get a better scale within the Ministry of Education. Because then more teachers will do M.Ed from the university.
The University is going to be ready to play a greater role in ensuring quality education by supporting more teachers, especially in IE and R, education, and research.
Let's realize the fair rights of M, Ed degree holders. Ensure quality, quality education.Friends,
